Re: Light schedule for seedlings???
Hey up SW420.... for seedlings/vegging, some ppl use 24hrs light and some less... i always like giving plants a bit of a dark period so usually use a 20/4 light schedule until dropping to 12/12 for flowering...
It really is up to you and whats best for your situation etc.... as long as they get 18hrs minimum for vegging your all good.
Im sure others will be in to put their tuppence worth.

Also how long do you usually keep them in veg? Or is that pretty much personal preference too?

Re: Light schedule for seedlings???
16/8 FTW
If ya dont need to run heating lights off, 16 hours lights on 8 off is super cheap. seedlings should have enough stored energy from the seed leafs to start making real leaves without too much extra light being added. the light we add helps control the plant shape as it forms imho
once ya have true leaves the amount of light matters more, before then its light intensity controlling plant shape

Re: Light schedule for seedlings???
I recently light bleached my seedlings with my 96w T5 1-2" above them being on 24hr with no dark period. It's a first time i have done this with a T5 and was a little surprised that it happened.
