It’s getting to the point it’s not worth owning one soon though, the rules and regulations they are bringing in is starting to take the piss a bit now.
I got the dji mini2, dji fpv, and a couple of fpv drones I built myself that fly on the dji airunit.
Great hobby but it’s getting harder to find places to fly that you don’t risk prosecution

If you want one to track you you’ll want to go with something from dji or parrot ai, there’s a lot of crap on the market so got to be careful what your buying but those two companies are at the top of their game for tracking objects and things

My eyes are too blurry to make it out, can’t work out if it’s a quadcopter or octocopter, think it’s a quad and I’m seeing double.
The footage looks like it’s shot from a mavic or similar with fpv goggles.
Definitely wasn’t an fpv drone but a stabilised one.

Have a look on YouTube at Johnnyfpv, his videos are something else

Yeah he is something else, there are a lot of good fpv pilots out there, slatt fpv is one of the smoothest pilots I’ve seen.
Captain vanover is a cocky little knob head but he’s in another league of pilots.
Nurk fpv puts out some good content, he raced drl until recently.
Oh yeah how could I forget rotor riot, that’s worth subscribing to just to see the antics.

I’ve got a channel but I’m nowhere near the skillset of any of the above, I can do a load of tricks but my video editing lets me down and tbh I find my videos boring lol.

If you are thinking of getting one then first decide whether you want a flying camera for cinematic flights or do you want to mess around and do tricks.

If you just want a flying camera then any mavic or mini will do, if you want to do fpv then you’ll either need to build something or look at the pre built 5” on bangood,
If you want the best of both worlds then you’ll want the dji fpv, you can fly it like a mavic in normal mode or you can flip to fpv and go nuts, it’s not quite the same as a 5” freestyle quad but if you can only have one drone and want to do both types of flight then that’s pretty much your only option unfortunately.

Best option imo is to get a dji airunit and a dji remote and goggles and build your own fpv, much more fun fpv, stabilised flying gets a little boring after a while

Also drones like the shendrones squirt are excellent, you have to build it yourself but well worth it, mines tuned so well now I can fpv around the house, because it has ducts it won’t decapitate the dog either so win win.

On bangoof they sell mini drones, e10 i think it was, about £15 with a couple of extra batteries, get yourself one of them for laying around indoors and getting used to the controls, if you can master that it’ll give you a massive head start with fpv
