Sylstar Gl-1000a LED Light

Hey All

I purchased the following Sylstar light from Amazon when it was on offer. It had decent reviews so I thought I'd take a punt. I'm new to LEDs - I've only ever purchased one before which was a Mars One which I didn't use properly as I wan an amateur haha (i.e. didn't know how to create the right conditions, tent small etc) anyway less of me getting sidetracked.

I just wanted to see what people think of it and whether it's any good? Seems like they're using decent components? Also what's this blurple / white business about?

They've also sent a 20% voucher off for any of their lights which seems quite reasonable. I'll find out whether its one time use, if not I'll share it on here if it helps anyone.

if nothing else you can hang verticaly for side lighting,,,i dont hear much input on side lights tho

JJ I don't know if its just me, but I'm confused by your last two replies..I think you said the lights legit and good based on components?

Ok,lots of opinions here,IMO looks a white lite with some good components,give the girlz luv,im a burple guy,invest once in what u can afford,,,,,you will hear from this crazy world soon,im learning soo much just hanging around this place every day

I think I'll have to save it for summer - right now I've got a 400w dual speccy in my 80x80x160 which keeps temps okay. With this LED I'd end up with the heater on more.

I paid around £100 when it was on offer. Its £139.99 again but with the 20% code it would bring it down to around £110 which seems reasonable in comparison to some of the others on Amazon. I'm still waiting on the seller to confirm about the code. They have some others too which are bigger.

You'll probably need 2 of the LEDs for your tent.
I'd run both your lights for flowering.
The blurple you asked about is old tech now. Don't worry about it.
