Is this a good led grow light lamp for a wardrobe closet 1-4plants if not what is and do I look for ???

The specs of the light lamp are Specifications:
LED lights: 100PCS
SMD3030 1-3W Red (620-630nm) 84PCS
SMD3030 1-3W Blue (460-470nm) 10PCS
SMD3030 1-3W White (6000-6500K) 2PCS
SMD2835 1-3W UV (390-400nm) 2PCS
SMD2835 1-3W IR (725-735nm) 2PCS
Power: 3000W... Please tell me is this good for a small space 1 to 4plants and if not what is a good range of less to have and is there a cheap alternative to profesionall led lgrow lights or lamps with just the same specs how do I find the right led grow light lamp and cheap instead of branded

Do I need more white and ir and uv LEDs or at least more white or ir LEDs not sure just two of each doesn't sound alot compared bit may be because of the power difference of the coulors and not as much is needed just thought it would be nessisary to haveore white and ir led lights please explain if I am not right and if so do I need more white or ir LEDs or both

Hi,

I’ve just moved from hps to invisible sun led. While searching I realised Most of the led now are using mainly white diodes with the odd blue, far red, ir etc.

The older boards that use mainly the reds, blues/blurples must not have done that well since they were released or they wouldn’t be getting changed to whites by most manufacturers. That was my thoughts so I decided to go with the mainly white light.

Try to get more info from people who use these still but if the technology has gone towards white, there must be some reason behind it 👍

Hope you get what your after

Hey mate, the stats you are quoting are obviously from a cheap 'knockoff' type fitting and that is meant with no offense at all to you my friend- but 3000W? that is certainly not true and certainly not what you will be seeing drawn from the plug. For more advice on that specific light I would need to know the brand and model etc. but to be honest I don't really want to know. Have you purchased it already?

As a comparison here is the stats for what I have:-

R Strip (each)
108 x LM301H CRI90 3500K
4 x LH351H Deep Red 660nm
2 x LH351h Far Red 730nm
= 114 total LED per strip
= 28.5v 2100mA
= 59.85 watts

And that is ONE Strip - I have NINE in total - 8 in main tent and one as a veg light

Total wattage for 8 of those is 480watt and that is:-

R Strips x 8 Strips
864x (3500K) White [8 x 108]
32x (660nm) Deep Red [8 x 4]
16x (730nm) Far Red [8 x 2]

= 912 LED total
@ 2.19 umols

= 478.8 watts
= 228 volts

I love me some stats ;o)

If you have not wasted your money on that already, I can talk you through making your own for the same money if not less than you are planning to spend on that but with using good Diodes (Samsumg LMH301) and a decent driver Mean Well using the R-Strips from Invisible Sun as these are my GOTO for diy LED lights in both my main tent and in the airing cupboard for use as a germination light ;o) - They work AWESOME (just see my post about the drivers and dimming if you are going to build your own - the AB type driver rocks)

This will not only help the plant but will also allow you to SEE the plant under normal light - there is NOTHING worst than looking at them BLPURPLE picture with the to violet lightning - I personally don't care if the plant can see green or not - the only reason they leave that range out is because it allows them to use CHEAP ARSE diodes that can only emit red which is the cheapest wavelength for an LED.

Just my 2 cents mate. But would suggest you look at Invisible Sun before buying anything.

Sorry Organishv2, my response to you was meant for the OP.

But yea, I have only just started growing but I am a research FREAK when it come to tech and off course I did my research and the result of that for me personally - is the only reason blurples exist is to make money from ripoffs in my books. Red is the cheapest LED to make and the longest lasting, so it makes sense they would jump on this once someone mentioned it 'might be good' as a grow light. And don't get me wrong, chucking LED's of any colour apart from green will do something but just look at the stats of that light he quoted:-

LED lights: 100PCS
  • SMD3030 1-3W Red (620-630nm) 84PCS
  • SMD3030 1-3W Blue (460-470nm) 10PCS
  • SMD3030 1-3W White (6000-6500K) 2PCS
  • SMD2835 1-3W UV (390-400nm) 2PCS
  • SMD2835 1-3W IR (725-735nm) 2PCS
The ratio of apparent spectrum is hilarious -
2% IR
2% UV
2 % 6500k
10% Blue (lets say 3500k)
85% Red

I know where my money would go - exactly the same place as last time - and it recently did when I needed another one.

The best advert for a light mate is to look at the grow diaries and see what people are using and it's working (ignore mine - I had a little mishap with root rot).

Too much red and complete shit in the stats from that light for me. The false advertising instantly says it is shit, but prove me wrong.

To end the comparison one R Strip is about £30 + one fully dimmable driver was about £35.00 plus the potentiometer to dim it(0-100% in .5 increments) - I made the fully dimmable 60watt for about £70 and it has more diodes than that original light at 60watt rather than 3000watt - and I guarantee you it has more PAR
