GT100 NFT System
Hi guys and girls. So I am relatively new grower but been around a few along the road.
Got this GT100 for my first grow. Came packaged well and as discreet as it could be. Upon opening all looked to be good, seemed good quality construction, sturdy build.
It went together fine and seemed to fit quite well together however once I got my water in and got it running I was left quite disappointed. The pipework for the water was extremely noisy. It sort of had a loud squeek as it was running. It seemed as though the holes for the water to come out were perhaps not big enough. Possibly with a bit of work it could be improved, however I feel it should work as is without having to do things to it. So all in all I wouldn't really recommend this system for your NFT needs.

Re: GT100 NFT System
Well I liked and subscribed to this shit before I even read your post ;o)
Mini G & NFT, Strap me in!
Another tip is with the Air pumps and lines, wrap an elastic band around the 'contact' points to dampend the 'vibration' etc.
Once you realise that most noise (at least electrical/mechanical) is caused by VIBRATION you can certainly quieten that shit down.
I am certainly gonna wish you all the best and watch and learn from what you do mate. Looking forwards to this grow for sure. Would love to try NFT at some point.
Good luck mate.
P.S. Don't take my advice on anything before checking with the @Nanook ;o)

From my experience and very limited mate, but noise is usually generated from vibration (air pump or water pump) so start with them, Seen someone float a water pump in a Res using air filled bottles strapped to the pump to keep it just below the water level! Fecking Awesome Idea, but one I was too lazy to try out in my last hydro attempt but certainly something I would plan for my next.Mini-G-Star wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2020 7:14 pmThe pipework for the water was extremely noisy. Re: GT100 NFT System
What's this:-
Clearly, Canna but you got 2x B rather than an A & B ? Or is one Boost etc?
Or is the @Nanook just buying in bulk and decanting into confusing - reused - bottles?
Tell him you want some A in ya Nutrients ;o)
To be fair I have no idea about NFT or if you are using the standard Canna A & B as they do a hydro version which I have not used yet.

Re: GT100 NFT System
Think one was calmag. one might have been aqua one coco tho. I have many hahaha.
Aye it was vibration but mostly just the water jets. Crap system in honesty and in fairness, all the other ones they make have been spot on.

The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear.

Re: GT100 NFT System
@Minty love the floating pump idea I put my airstones pump on a thick piece of polystyrene.
It helps a bit.
