Heres my review of the omega DE 1000w dual spectrum ballast and lamp.
This is a great unit, dimmable to 600w and superlumins to 1200w!
I have had some of my best results with these - 2 on 825w yielding 60+ zips in the same area LED gives 35-40.
Now, they arent as efficient as LED ( I was getting 0.75gpw and LED hit 1.34GPW ) but time, area etc all has to be factored in as well - and they fave huge buds although not as tight as LED.
They produce a LOT of heat and I never managed to run them on even 1000w without light burn/bleaching but you can really see the blue spectrum in them as well as the orange.
Price is also a consideration - These are not cheap, but also they are not expensive and have a huge warranty - I think mine were 5 years for ballasts!
The lamps went after about 3-4 grows unfortunately though and after the first grow you lost yield respectively.
Would I recommend them? Yes - IF you can deal with the above.
