Re: Sylstar Gl-1000a LED Light
You won't need the 450w led too big for your tent.
I run 2 tent's same size as yours with a 240w led in each.
I then add a bit more with cob lights when flowering.
The recommended amount for an 80x80 for flowering would be roughly 300w from the wall for a quantum board.
How much will they do the 240w for?

With the 20%, around £240. Still waiting on them to reply whether the code is multiple use, if so I'll share with the forum.Treetrunk wrote: ↑Sat Oct 31, 2020 3:01 pmYou won't need the 450w led too big for your tent.

I'm upgrading my tent to a 1.2x1.2x2.2m soon, so would the largest one be more appropriate for that size tent? That would work out about £368 with the 20% discount.
Thanks for your help

The big light would be right for a 1.2m.wutang wrote:With the 20%, around £240. Still waiting on them to reply whether the code is multiple use, if so I'll share with the forum.Treetrunk wrote: ↑Sat Oct 31, 2020 3:01 pmYou won't need the 450w led too big for your tent.

I would go for 2x240 in that space.
You'll only need one light on vegging and fire up the second one for flower.
Also you have more flexibility with different height plants.

Re: Sylstar Gl-1000a LED Light
If I went for the largest one, or even 2 of the 240w, could I not just use the dimmer to adjust the intensity?Treetrunk wrote: ↑Sat Oct 31, 2020 6:28 pmThe big light would be right for a 1.2m.wutang wrote:With the 20%, around £240. Thank you, will take a look. Although I find if its fulfilled by amazon, it's easier to return if there are any issues.Treetrunk wrote: ↑Sat Oct 31, 2020 6:37 pmhttps://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/184371755828 this looks better for the money

Yes you can turn them down. The big light would work if all your plants are uniform height.wutang wrote:If I went for the largest one, or even 2 of the 240w, could I not just use the dimmer to adjust the intensity?Treetrunk wrote: ↑Sat Oct 31, 2020 6:28 pmThe big light would be right for a 1.2m.wutang wrote: With the 20%, around £240. I spent a lot of time researching during lock down isolation.
The LEDs have come on a long way.
Look forward to seeing your grows on here

Re: Sylstar Gl-1000a LED Light
Hey @Treetrunk
Just a quick one, you mentioned a thing in particular about the height of the lights depending on the plant height if I have more than one on the grow...is this something related particularly to LED lights vs HPS bulbs? As with Hps I have 2 different plants at slightly different heights (ones caught up with the other now) and they are doing well in Veg.
Also, if these LEDs are full spectrum, why would I only turn one out of the two panels on? Is it purely because of the light intensity, as plants during veg are more sensitive and you could cause light burn? Even if I was just using the one panel, I could start with the voltage controller turned down and gradually increase as fit to keep the ladies happy?
Thank you
