Have you ever used an RVK or RUK type fan @Minty im just wondering noise comparison, i think these should be quieter but not sure tbh ?

No mate, but it's not the EC fan that makes it quiet (although I do think it would help) it's more the fact that this one is the stealth varient so comes fitted inside a baffle type tube with foam to cancel out the noise etc. Pretty sure you could get the same effect with sticking your fan in a box etc.

Was just looking at one of these myself £230 from hydrostore.co.uk. My friend bought one the only problem was it said grow room fan on the box think ill have to ask them to remove that on postage
