well i know the bluelab stuff is expensive, and im the tightest bastard you'll meet, but honestly, i did a grow with a cheapo, i got about 4 weeks in with loads of issues, but trusted the meter, and it calibrated, but it turned out it was only calibrated at 7 and when it was reading 5.8 it was actually about 8.8.
i also got those cheapo yellow things, they are hit and miss like you wouldnt believe, you could buy 5 of them, and i guarantee they will all read differently.
result= 4 weeks of electric wasted, 40 odd quid on cheapo wasted, and a new bluelab purchased the day i pulled them. since then - no issues.
