Re: The GR420 Fruit And Veg Grow Off Comp 2021
Hi All!
I'm new here this is my first post. Although I am quite new to growing cannabis I am quite well versed in growing my own veggies as I've been subsistence growing veggies for a couple years now. I am located in the southern hemisphere so we are going into winter now but luckily I have a nice home-made greenhouse setup keeping my plants happy. looking to harvest the 2 plants by May/June so I hope that won't jeopardise my chances in this comp ;)
The two plants i'm entering are my two favourites currently in my garden. 1) Hybrid Cucumber and 2) Eggplant. Both plants grew from seed and I planted the seedlings around 3 weeks ago. From now on I will be updating this thread on a weekly basis. They both have not received any nutes there than the sprinkle I give all my plants with the left over fish mix I have after watering my girls ;)
The Setup:
For the cucumber: It is planted in a potting soil, compost, mushroom compost and perlite mix into an old dustbin(trash can) haha. It also just recently (yesterday) got up-potted from a small pot to the dustbin. It got a sprinkle of @DYNOMYCO when transplanting so I am hoping for some major root growth.
For the Eggplant: It lies in a raised bed with other veggies also growing (onions, peppers and squash) so I'm worried about competing root space but lets see what happens. Its in a mix of 50 potting soil/ 50 compost.
1) Hybrid Cucumber
2) Eggplant Beauty:
Looking to forward to having you join the journey.
Peace
