Coffee waste - how much and how to use?

Post by Bulls »

Hello Growroom420.

Since I bought coffee machine I've got a lot of waste. Remember reading it can be used in garden when growing veg or with household plants?
I'd appreciate any output :Stoned: Image

I'm interested as well - starts moulding super quick in my kitchen, when I fill up a little pot with it, the stuff at the bottom is mouldy so I chucked it out most times. Happy to hear successful uses for what seems to be valuable organic matter!
Bump!

I've been saving mine also. I was going to mix a bit in with my soil. Not sure how much.
P.S. I know worms love the stuff.

The other day when I was high I solved one of the world's greatest problems.
Unfortunately five minutes later I forgot what I was doing.

I dump mine on some newspaper in a cake pan and spread it out a bit. The newspaper absorbs the water and then everything dries quicker.

I know nothing about using it on the garden apart from slinging it on the compost heap! But I reckon if you got one of them few gallon hoover vac packed bags with a valve on! Sling it in there with a gallon of water and half a dozen mashed apples it would make a brew that sets ewe rite off after 2 weeks fermenting .

Great Googly Moogly ¡¡¡

I always chuck it on the compost heap - seems to rot down well

I incorporate all my grounds into my organics pile that I bury twice a year into the garden trench compost style.

I dont recommend using the waste directly as it can acidify soil REAL quick. So unless your water is basic AF like mine it would be a bad idea to use it in potted plants directly unless u really know what youre doing
