Hey fellow growers. Interesting developments here.

Here is what we look like these days

Image

The young chilis and tomatoes:

Image

Herbs and edible flowers:

Image

And then the low vs high light intensity trials for my leafy greens:

Low light plants on the left, high light plants on the right in the following pics...

Image

Hyakka mustard greens. I think they like high light better:

Image

Tatsoi asian greens. They def grow better in low light:

Image

Broccoli raab. Cant tell really if they like either or...

Image

Next is a variety of butter lettuce called ‘Ella’. They like low light better I tbink but the density is nice in the high light level too:

Image

The next butter lettuce is variety ‘Mae’. And it grows red under higher light conditions:

Image

Last is Mizuna leafy greens and I dont think they like the environment. They bolted pretty quick... taste was fine until this point though

Image

Thats it for the greens I think.

Check my lemon geranium cuttings tho too:

Image

Got some microgreen trials planted for a catering friend of mine who might become a regular customer too :)

So can someone tell me whats up with this leaf cupping in these chilis? They r all the same variety but I dont remember seeing this last time I grew them. They were in low light so I put em in a bit higher now

Image

Also I think the leaf margin necrosis on my cauxcomb here is also due to low light or wrong humidity levels not encouraging phototranspiration to the tips of the leaf margin. Again lets see if higher PPFD helps fix this

Image

Besides these couplethings, other things are ok except my Hyakka is never happy regardless of what I do so still working on that. No pic of these.

Microgreens are BANGIN tho

And I finally had a ginger root sprout so lets see what this thing does

Yes indeed they have acclimated some but I think they really do need it higher RH in there. I can't give it to em until I do a few more things in my build so.... they r gonna have to deal until then

i just noticed your comment about the leaf margins as well

i have heard and read a couple places that blue and red lights do tent to struggle to transport everything to the leaf tips. in canna youll sometimes see white tips from it. im not 100% sure this would be true for your food crop but its been mentioned for the light type :D
