I have a load of opium poppy seeds too if you want some. Although they came from one pod originally, they produced a variety of flowers. Some pink double headed (the original). Some single pinks, some red and almost black singles, and red doubles.Point 5 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 02, 2020 12:26 pmBrilliant thank you for that and the new knowledge that walking onions exist!!The Aspie Toker wrote: ↑Tue Jun 02, 2020 12:12 pmNo problem, point 5. Re: Spring is here
No problem. You just need to scatter them and not plant them. They need light to germinate. They are legal to grow in the UK. It's just an offence to extract the opium from the pods.Point 5 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 02, 2020 12:38 pmThat would also be amazing. Re: Spring is here
Not my images, but these give you some idea what to expect...
Yet they came from a poppy that looked like this...
The seeds were taken from a variety of heads. Some only grew 4-5 inches where others grew 5+ feet. That could be down to the soil in the garden as it varies quite a lot.
