Re: Josh's hempy tomato grow
No probs, mate. Give them a good spray of it once they are actual fruits on there. Even spray the fruit itself.integrajosh wrote: ↑Fri Sep 20, 2019 10:01 pmAhh ok, thanks aspie. I'll give them a good foliar spray once they get bigger then
Tomatoes crave calcium, and that's why you often get blossom end rot if there's not enough in the medium or nutes.

Re: Josh's hempy tomato grow
quick update for you guys!
they're coming along nicely, the cherry is a little more vigorous and drinking more than the roma. fed again today with 200 ppm of cal mag plus, added maxibloom until 600 ppm or 1.0 ec. upped ph with silicate to 6.0
so far the cherry has 3 tomatoes but plenty more flowers have showed up
here's the roma, stems/leaves are purple from the uv diodes in my led.

Re: Josh's hempy tomato grow
Something I learned awhile ago is that tomatoes are "self pollinating". If you give each those flowers a little flick, the chances of each one producing fruit goes way up. You can even see the dust from each one when you flick it.

Ya I eventually got greedy and needed the room for my weed so I threw them outside they continued to make tomatoes all year, lolMomma bear wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2020 3:17 pmLove that you did this! Was wondering how well one would do if grown like that
I have to say that my soil grown are way tastier and juicier though. The hydro tomatoes were ok but not near as good in my opinion
