Re: New Noob 4x4 Setup
So I cut back on watering and they bounced back really fast. Got some huge fan leafs on them.
Here we are now, topped and pruned down all the big fan leaves. Now starting LST.
Again, first time doing this so I need advice. Should I have pruned the bottom two branches aswell or are they good?
Im thinking to top one more time in about 2 or 3 weeks, give them 2 weeks to recover and then flip them to flower. prune again about 2 or 3 weeks after that.
What do you think? Iv been looking through a lot of grow diarys and seems to be the way its done. Im just not sure about my LST and if I should cut those bottom 2 branches or not.
Cheers lads,
H

All good, bent the tops down. Everything at the same height now.

Re: New Noob 4x4 Setup
Hey dude. interesting form of training. most of the time we try pull the highest tops down to allow the lower branches and growth tips the chance to even up in height to form a even canopy
plants looking plenty healthy tho dude. keep it up

I agree with GMO but... No reason your way won't work esp if you carry on.

Re: New Noob 4x4 Setup
Think you missed my last message, thats what I done after I posted the pic.
I was staring at them for a long time wondering "why does this look wrong.. its too tall.." before I figured it out.
Like I said, slow but I get there in the end XD
They all took the bending really well but the tallest strongest one isnt happy at the moment. All the leaves drooping. She always recovered fastest before. Should be ok in a few days.
Will post updates soon.

Re: New Noob 4x4 Setup
Alright chaps, just a wee update for you.
These have been in veg in 7L fabric pots since 22nd dec so 4 weeks vegging.
Last week they had 4 days no water due to unforseen circumstances I couldnt get home. They were NOT happy.
They recovered a bit so yesterday I transferred them to 25L pots. Werent root bound but roots had reached the bottom and not the sides.
Feeding every 2-3 days plain water. Room temp. left to sit, warm up and get the chlorine out.
Shouldnt need nutes for a while as its good new soil.
540W LED is about 25" from the tops. 50-60% humidity. 19-30C temps.
So iv learned a lot from you so far guys, you saved my girls a couple of times and I really appreciate the help.
They arent looking great right now after the 4 days no water and then transplanting to new pots but im pretty sure they will bounce back after a few days in their new soil.
Anything obvious im doing wrong or we looking good for now?
