Should I top her now or wait till the node grows a little more? This is the fourth true node coming in. Sorry about the bad picture!
Sorry for the delay, mate. I've been in bed with pleurisy.
I would do it then as you've a chance of FIMming it, but you can also do what Mr Nice said.

No problem at all mate, I am sorry to hear you havnt been well, I hope you have a quick recovery and are feeling a little better?
I actually did do it already as I got impatient see what you think?

I'm not going to top all of them mate, it's more of a learning experience/experiment for my own benefit if anything else. She seemed vigourous so I gave it a shot, if worst comes to worst I lose some yield but learned a valuable lesson haha.

I have faith in the genetics I'm running so hopefully they will pull through even with my rookie mistakes! I appreciate your input though and I will most definetly be doing some LST when she recovers and also on the plants I don't top.

Could anyone tell me, when I LST, what do I do about the leaves that will be touching the soil when I bend her down? I thought this was bad and allowed pathogens onto the leaves and makes the plant unhealthy? So do I snip off the leaves that touch the floor or tuck them? Or does it not matter?

A chap on another forum swears by topping autos…. He is a total evangelist about it.

I took the plunge and topped my first crop of autos at the 4th node, and tied them girls down good and proper!

Despite being a total noob, I seem to have done OK on this grow.

Here’s a pic of the first plant I chopped last night… Fast Buds Gorilla Cookies Auto
