Re: Green Hand Organic Grow 75L
There are a couple of good books @dal & @MrNice If you want to learn more check out teaming with microbes, this book will blow your mind wide open.
And if you get to the end of that and still crave more then check out the sequel teaming with nutrients, it’s a bit harder to understand and definitely needs a second read but well worth the effort

Molasses is proper magic shit for those microbes amongst other things. Not only that but if you make up a good bucket and bubble it in water a few days or stir as much as possible daily before giving to plants it will come to life with aerobic bacteria which need oxygen to live and which i also here is good shit for plant and those will help break down certain organic matter in your medium as well. I wouldn`t bubble it longer than or i should say use it after 4 or 5 days cus it does start to stink up and become anaerobic and those dont use or need oxygen from what I've read and i here that int best for roots what with certain stinky bad egg smelling pathogens etc. But read up on those its a simple enough process to sling 1 tablespoon per gallon into some water and bubble it and when it starts to froth up give it plants. Win win their i woulda thought. Summink I've done quite a lot with sugars in times gone by but more for a carb booster although it still comes to life with bacteria![]()
Well informed mate, nice one.
I will be really honest, I have been really lazy and preoccupied right now with my growing. I used to stick to a schedule whoch had mollases in as a top up.
I am going to get right back on it this xmas. I need to make some compost tea anyway, but I have never thought of just bubbling up water and the mollasses. Maybe add in some microbes too.

Re: Green Hand Organic Grow 75L
Yeah that's what I've been doing, got a little lazy
It's all going to start coming together now I have more space though. I can set up an area just for bubbling up brews.
Making things complicated I do seem to be good at lol.
Thanks for the input. Maybe keeping things simple could work well.

I've read these. It's a lot to take in when you are learning from fresh with new words to get the head around.Vador wrote: ↑Tue Dec 14, 2021 2:13 pmThere are a couple of good books @dal & @MrNice If you want to learn more check out teaming with microbes, this book will blow your mind wide open.

I'm going to have to look back on these actually.
I do have a worm farming book to read though!
He has a new one coming out.

Looking up a little in here.
Having a difference in size or structure daily. Let the Veg begin and I will get the netting on soon enough.
Lot's to do in here soon so less being lazy. Once she got past the little hot spot or whatever it was, maybe just spreading her roots, she has started to show some happy and speedy growth. Which also makes me think of trying to turn the lights power up a little. I think it is still on 20% or something similar.
Happy growing and Merry Xmas to you all. Bring on 2022
