Sorry @MrNice I didn't see your question mate. Silver Bullet is silver hydrogen peroxide. It's liquid oxygen with silver added. The silver improves its sterilisation capability as well as allows it to hang about in the tank for longer than standard peroxide.

Re: LA S.A.G.E X birthday cake X strawbanana cream NFT SOG run
Hey GR420,
Another weekly update. Things seem to be plodding along nicely atm. A little slow but I think that's down to this phenotype. I've just cycled the tank once again with 100ltr of fresh solution with a slight change. I've dropped out Silver Bullet for TNC BactorrS13. TNC BactorrS13 is a blend of different root colonising bacteria that should provide a host of benefits over using the peroxide. We shall see hey :) It makes my tank look like a swamp.

EC: 1.7
PH: 5.8
Water Temp: 21C
TriPart (flowering mix)
Solar Green Power
VitaLink Turbo+
TNC BactorrS13
Hygrozyme
Hopefully they will pick up the pace this week and start to pack on some weight.

Re: LA S.A.G.E X birthday cake X strawbanana cream NFT SOG run
Hello guys, sorry about the lack of updates. I had some bad luck with this crop and lost it to root rot. One of the plants ended up getting a bad case of rot that I missed around the stem and that spread throughout the crop. I ended up with about 12oz of weed. The smoke is decent but I'm at least 50% down. I've started another run of 16 as I need to stock up as I've got to move this room by July but I need more bud so I can take a little break. I'll try to keep up with updates here but I'm useless at that as you can see. These will be going onto flower as soon as the roots bite into the matting. I've inoculated these with trichaderma and will be adding it to the tank this time to try and circumvent root rot. I think I might be pushing the EC a little too high in the early stages and weakening the roots. I'm going to try and scale the EC back a bit and see how that plays out. These fresh lot are sitting at 1.1EC atm.

Got some cube caps this time to minimise algae and other shit growing on my cubes.

Mother is still doing well.

Re: LA S.A.G.E X birthday cake X strawbanana cream NFT SOG run
Just a quick update to mark the light cycle change date. These are officially on flower. Weirdly the right hand side of the system had dry rockwool cubes and spreader. I can feel water in the channels but it doesn't seem to be wicking up. I've top fed the cubes and switched the pumps on 24/7. Unfortunately I don't have time to fuck about as I've got to be packed away by mid June so I'll just have to hope that it was a kink in the matting or something. The runts at the top right and bottom left were the last to root so they're just a little behind due to me rushing things through. They only struck root about 6 days ago
Hopefully they can keep up with the pace.

Re: LA S.A.G.E X birthday cake X strawbanana cream NFT SOG run
Hey all,
Little update, I've bought a co2 generator thingy that is normally used for fish tanks. The kit consists of a 4ltr high pressure container, release valve, solenoid and some pipe etc. Then you load it up with citric acid, sodium bicarbonate and some water and seal it up. You can fit about 1.4kg or raw material in at a time and that should produce about 500g of co2 gas. This all plugs into my Trolmaster that's measures the co2 within the tent and switches on the solenoid when co2 is required. I've set this to 1200ppm and I've set a slow release on the valve so it takes about 2 mins to climb. This seems to work out about right and the first night run produced a nice steady 1200ppm throughout the light cycle. The first blip was me adjusting the valve.

Unfortunately the lowest I can set the extraction fan is 0 when controlled by the trolmaster so I can't seal things. Bit of a gotcha but I'm hoping 500g should last between 4-7 days (wishful thinking). I've asked on their forum about this so hopefully they will read my complaint and allow the fans minimum setting to be off.

Plants seem to like it :) I think 1.1EC was a little low and I was seeing a little bit of a N def so I've raised the EC to 1.5EC and I'm going to cycle the resoviour this weekend with a fresh grow mix at ~1.7EC due to the increase in co2.

So far so good as far as the TNC beanies. I was a little scared that they would cause some issues with PH or maybe clog up the pipes but the PH is rock solid and the res has cleared up nicely. The roots look
too. Plenty of them and nice, thick and white. Not sure if I will continue to add the mycorrhizal and just had the trichaderma mix moving forward.
