Grow #2: Lemon Zkittles & Strawberry banana in Soil

What about the 24 hours dark period before flip? Worth it? Got told this by a guy working in a hydro shop. See conflicting arguments online. What's the consensus?

Personally I'd say it's not needed but it won't do any harm either

I've tried strawberry banana and it was very good, very sweet. However my last grow was almost a pure indica and God does it feel like it when I have a heavy session! Dying for something more uplifting.

I'll probably leave it. I always think you should emulate nature when possible and bar an eclipse this doesn't happen in the real world.

I love my Indicas man. Hey did you see that post i left for you the other day the Lemon Zkittles just won best sativa at the cannabis cup i have been lucky enough to try the LZ just yesterday and today and i'm a fan already for sure as i said yet to try any of the strawberry strains i did try a strawberry haze a few years back but i'm not going to count it as it was not grown properly at all

I think next run we're either doing 4 strawberry bananas in a scrog or going to mix up flavours a bit. Maybe some chemdog or sour diesel. Love to have a selection of flavours!

DAY 70

Well I’ve been keeping my routine pretty much the same: feed for a week and then give them a good watering, supercropping branches when they look like they needed it and tying them down to keep them level. They all bounced back super well, lemon zkittles especially. There’s notes of rotten banana and strawberry milkshake coming from the strawberry banana and a sage like rich smell from the lemon zkittles which reminds me of pork!

So I think it’s about time I flipped. I’ve given them their flowering pruning and potted up to 17 litre smart pots with the same soil mix as I used previously. And give them a good watering a feed of rhizo, I also used great white whilst potting up again, Great stuff. I tied them all down and changed the timers to 12/12.

I’m off to Ireland to a mates wedding until Sunday so lets see how they’ve stretched when I get back. Nutes in the soil should keep ‘em going for a while anyway.
