Sorry to hear about that grumpy. I was actually looking forward to see this in action. Hopefully you won't cancel it full? Can you not get them on ebay? I've ordered some nutrients yesterday and hopefully be delivered soon. I've also sent few parcels which are moving.

Deffo not going to cancel it fully just postpone things until I'm in a better position. I probably could swap from Ferro to Advanced Nutrients because they're more accessable but I didn't want to mess with CaMg additives trying to balance things and I also don't want to run with tap water in aeroponics.Bulls wrote: ↑Wed Mar 25, 2020 10:51 amSorry to hear about that grumpy. I'm playing things by ear for now. I haven't culled the seedlings yet :)

Re: Dutch Passion Lemon Zkittles & Barneys Farm Blue Gelato 41
Hey all,
So this grow is back on! Managed to get some nutrients so I'm going to be able to progress :). I've changed my mind about the spray heads after running them as I feel the 360 browns will run too wet (if that's a thing). The spinning ones spray small droplets everywhere and provide lots of air but the 360 browns spray a wall of water so less oxygen to the roots.
Also, I've dumped the Lemon Zkittles as they were not happy one bit. They started to grow twisted and confussed so I culled them and replaced with the blue gelato 41s. I was a bit sporadic about it too so I have seeds all at a different age lol they are a little behind but I'm confident I can even things out once they in the system.
Everything is on Ferro grow @1.7EC with a little silicon to stabilise the water. If I don't use silicon, the PH drops to around 3 once the solution is mixed up. I had to use some sort of media to keep things alive while they wait so those net pots are filled with rockwool that I tore up and layered to keep things to a minimum. Seems to be working well now and shouldn't be too wet once transfered into the system.
You'll probably notice a slight mottled look to the old leaves. This is due to a deficiency that started while running at a lower EC. Seemed to have reverted since I've upped the EC to 1.7EC at the recommendation of the nutrient manufacturer.

Not much to see yet ad I'm still waiting for the last grow to dry. I'll update as soon as things are moving.

The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear.

Re: Dutch Passion Lemon Zkittles & Barneys Farm Blue Gelato 41
Hey all,
And we're off!!! Managed to get everything clean and disinfected, system in place and plants in their forever home.
I've had a slight change of plan on the nutrients side. Ferro does a nutrient made for recurulating systems called Aero/N.F.T mix. Unfortunately, these are out of stock nation wide and I can't get hold of any for at keast 3-4 months. After speaking to someone that I know who's knowledgable in all this advised me that the only difference is that the recurulating mix has a bit of fulvic acid included to buffer. Ferro has a product called Humine-ex that comtains fulvic acid so I'm using that as well.
Plants have been on a PH of 5.8 and a EC of 1.5 and seem to be happy with that at the current stage so that's where they're at now. I've wired up the pump to an UPS just incase of a power cut. That should keep it going for many hours and hopefully save the crop in the event of a power failure. I've also wired up a second pump for redundancy.
I also swapped back to the spinning drippers as the 360 browns were too wet (don't rip me, I don't know how else to explain it). The system is a little noisey but it's out of the way so all good.
Anyway, wish me luck :) Thanks for reading.
