Thanks very much! I’m enjoying it so far, you’ll get used to the sight of me… I’m sure! LolMrs Beefheart wrote: ↑Tue Oct 05, 2021 8:06 amWicked set uptidy read there nice one , I’m sure you’ll settle in here fine , happy growing hun

Hey dude, how have you been keeping? Great to see you here… well, you’re the reason I’m here after letting me know on TGC! I’m really enjoying it and I’m definitely getting better and better as the days go by.2-Scoops wrote: ↑Wed Oct 06, 2021 1:31 pmHey their Clicks i see you`ve took to this growing your own malarky like a duck to water. Your really rocking it up now. A great system your using as well. The auto-pots work good too running a hydro type medium like coco and perlite or a small rockwool cubes and clayballs 50/50 mix
I’m constantly reading, listening to podcasts, watching YouTube videos… it never stops! To say I’m ridiculously interested is an understatement lol
I’m loving the autopots, I got them initially because I’ve got a couple of holidays coming up (one week at a time) and as we are in prohibition land and I can’t get anyone to help me, I needed some way to ensure that I could have a life and actually leave the house for a few days! After seeing how they’re performing I’ll certainly be keeping this system for a long time, the plants love it. Always perky, always happy and easy to use. Once a week or fortnight I’m turning the system off for a day, hand watering in microbes then turning it back on after another 24hr or so. Seems to work a treat. Just a wee water cut off valve.
What would you say the main benefits are of coco? I’m interested in using coco next time, but I’m scared that they would be too vigorous in flower, I’m already very quickly running out of head-room on day 4 of flower…. I’ll need to adapt and control it. Every day is a school day.
Realistically I could just cut down veg time really and flip sooner, or what would you say the main benefits are? Learning EC and ppm etc is a bit daunting for me still!
Thanks dude, appreciate it! I really rate them. I took advice from someone I know who is essentially mentoring me, he’s been growing 15+ years and says they perform better than anything else he’s used, and cheaper.
I can’t compare them to anything else as I’ve used both products in every one of my grows, but my plants are always happy and haven’t ran into any deficiencies or anything yet so my whole setup/combination seems to compliment each other.
Also, supporting another UK company is nice!

These ladies are exploding! Strange sight, in my previous 2 grows there was little to no stretch, so seeing these absolutely thrive within 24 hours is an amazing sight. Easily an inch per night so far in the last couple of days, if not more!

Bigger plants that are yielding more, when i say bigger plants maybe not the way your thinking, but more along lines of much more buddage, ok yes maybe slight bigger. I used to use auto-pots many years ago when they first arrived on scene, they are a bit different now, well slight upgrades etc. Keep an eye on pipes for blockages especially if in a hard water area they do fill with gunge eventually, i mean they should be sound for one grow but for cost of new tubing between grows which is pennies it maybe summink to consider. Also keep an eye on rootage growing into valves thats a no no.Clicks wrote: ↑Wed Oct 06, 2021 8:24 pmWhat would you say the main benefits are of coco? Thanks dude! I was planning to change the pipes after every grow anyways, I wouldn't fancy using any line cleaners and as you say, they're cheap as chips.2-Scoops wrote: ↑Thu Oct 07, 2021 11:59 amBigger plants that are yielding more, when i say bigger plants maybe not the way your thinking, but more along lines of much more buddage, ok yes maybe slight bigger. I'd be really tempted to go coco next time, but I'm having brilliant results with my soil mix so far.... not sure whether I'd be wise changing!
Also I've nearly ran out of head room already so I'd also be feared of them getting too big, decisions decisions..

Re: Clicks 2nd Mini Tent Grow (ScROG)

So guys, 9 days into flower now, coming along nicely!
My previous girls didn’t stretch at all, so I’m hoping these stop reasonably soon so that I can relax and not worry that they’re going to touch the bloody lights! I’ve got about 12 inches maximum before it’s way too close, in my opinion. One of the long rectangle folds in the tent is approximately 12 inches. They’ve stretched a foot in the last week.
Is the first week typically the worst, or is that the 2nd?
Obviously it depends on strain, pheno etc. I’ve 4 different strains in here, so fingers crossed! Lol
I’ve added a MIGRO 100 cob LED, so should be plenty of even light coverage.

Lovely little setup Clicks. Love a clean and tidy setup and I also love the bendz! They get no love here but I think they're great little things.

Re: Clicks 2nd Mini Tent Grow (ScROG)
They will stretch like mad for first 3 weeks of bloom then slow to a crawl, it maybe an idea training them under your screen first week of 12/12 before letting them go next time round, tbh its how you do a proper scrog anyhow imo. Basically you flip to bloom when screen is 3/4 full and carry on for a week to 10 days training. It`s always an option for ya`s anyhowClicks wrote: ↑Mon Oct 11, 2021 7:14 pmThanks dude! Getting a bit worried now haha. The banana slammer in particular has grown about another 2 inches overnight. I’m away on holiday here for a week, I’m just bricking it as I may come home to plants touching the bloody lights 🥲2-Scoops wrote:They will stretch like mad for first 3 weeks of bloom then slow to a crawl, it maybe an idea training them under your screen first week of 12/12 before letting them go next time round, tbh its how you do a proper scrog anyhow imo. I’m going to strip them a lot tonight. Take off any fan leaves that aren’t necessary above the net, and strip absolutely everything below the net.
Is that the best course of action? I’ll also bring the night time temperatures up closer to the day time temps in hope to reduce stretch too.
And yeh, I’ve learnt my lesson. Because my last grow essentially didn’t stretch AT ALL, I was scared that if I kept tucking whilst in flower I’d have buds about 2cm tall…. Well, that certainly hasn’t happened lol!
I’m still a beginner, so I can only take what I’ve learnt and make every run better
