DIY QB and cob light.
Anyone build their own LEDs?
I'm after a decent supplier for components.
I not bothered about ordering from China . It comes from there anyway.
Any recommendations appreciated

Sounds like fun. What would you do for heat sink etc....?

Alibaba.com or if you've got more money RS Components may have that kind of thing and/or bits you'll need.

Oh man ive just recent given 8 x 55watt cree cobs away in 2 units, but they were brand spankers maybe a few grows behind them, darn it.
Here`s a shop https://uk.farnell.com/c/led-lighting-components Keep us informed how you get on building the cree cobs, im interested myself and could do with a 1 or 2 single unit types to hang.
Found this might be handy site to ganders at @Treetrunk https://ledgardener.com/cob-led-basics/

Re: DIY QB and cob light.
Theirs a guy builds them to sell on at another site i frequent and im pretty sure he said Citizen cobs can be run alot harder than Cree, BUT.... then again i can`t be sure which way around he said it now tbh, but theirs advantages to both that other doesn`t have depending on how hard your gonna be running them i seem to remember him saying once upon a time. But the Citizen are right up their yes for a cheaper Chinese brand, he builds both dependent on what growers wanting. Pretty cool stuff tbhTreetrunk wrote: ↑Sat Dec 05, 2020 2:53 pmWill do mate Thanks for the link's. The new citizens are pretty good too.
