Charles Austin pumps decibels too high need at least below 45 decibels, just read up on exactly how loud these things are help, any tips on how to quieten the pump also?

Size of that bastard lol, are they as good as for oxygenating the roots would you say billy mate? Also can I use root riot and clay pebbles it says its for use in soil but I don't see how it can't be used dwc?

yeah you can use root riots and hydroton. pump is very good, ive got 2 of its bigger brother the 9730, ive been through loads of pumps, loads of them are noisy.
these are the quietest ive used, ive had austen, hi blow etc

I've got a hailea air pump in the attic sitting on old blanket runnign 24/7 and I do not hear it downstairs. Right above my boys bedroom so I made sure it's quiet.

I think It should be plenty mate. It comes with 6 way manifold so 1 airstone in each should do you well. I have 2 airstones in 120L storage box I use for water container.
