Ladybugs in action!

So i ordered a bunch of lady bugs to help tackle a gnat problem!

Fingers crossed this works as i want to do this all organic!

I will keep you guys updated on the results.

Iv also been deliberately keeping my soil dry as possible until today to help with the gnat problem and its definitely helped reduce numbers

I love seeing mother nature being put to use, im interested to see how you get on I've never tried ladybirds

Placing a healthy layer of sharp sand on top is just as good.

Update

I done a bit more research and gave them some hay in a glass to nest in and a cotton bad soaked in water to dribk from.

They seem to of spread out and i cant actually see any gnats anymore already

Update:

So the ladybugs have been a huge success and fixed my pest problems overnight.

Unfortunately that means they will not have much to eat so iv supplied them with some honey and raisons and refilled ther cotton pad with water.

They are more guard lady bugs now

hopefully they can enjoy there sweet retirement
