Zkittlez Auto Feminized --- Runt??
This Zkittlez Auto Feminized plant is not doing what I expect her to do.
She is so small. Does anyone have experience with these? Is she just a runt?
I started her on 01/01/2020. I moved her to 12/12 light on 02/15/2020 She is 10 weeks old and has been in flower for 3 weeks in the picture. She hasn't changed much since. (I'm at work and can update pic when I get home)
The breeder says:
FLOWERING TIME: 9 weeks from germination
Any insight would be helpful.
This is the plant from my diary viewtopic.php?f=111&t=4771

Purple Punch From Seedstockers
The other day when I was high I solved one of the world's greatest problems.
Unfortunately five minutes later I forgot what I was doing.

also you shouldnt really need to go to 12/12 to flower them, some seem to need it but not all.

Re: Zkittlez Auto Feminized --- Runt??
Thank You Nanook for the reply. I really appreciate it.
I realized after it was too late that I switched to 12/12 about two weeks too early. She was supposed to auto switch at 9 weeks and I manually switched her to 12/12 at 7 weeks.
I wonder if I stunted her.
I'll just let her grow till I harvest the Chem OG next to her. Just to see what happens.
Then my room will be empty and I'll give it a good cleaning before starting anything else.

Re: Zkittlez Auto Feminized --- Runt?
Autos actually switch from veg to flower around the four week mark all on their own. No need to change light schedule up. That nine weeks for this strain is the whole grow, but it seems most autos for non-professional setups, end up in the ten-twelve week range. I had a really runty looking RQS NL auto end up putting out a decent amount of fat dense flowers. A real pain to trim though.

It's good to know that there is such a things as an auto runt. This is the very first auto I've ever grown. LOL maybe it's a sign.TryingToLearn11 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 01, 2020 3:20 amAutos actually switch from veg to flower around the four week mark all on their own. No need to change light schedule up. Re: Zkittlez Auto Feminized --- Runt??
I feel I owe this plant an apology. I called it a runt and in all truth it was stunted. The soil was way too hot for the plants. The hot soil effects didn't show it's ugly head until the end. Both plants ended up showing these weird symptoms. Beside the obvious dark green leafs the leaves started cupping. The tips of the leaves turned brown with nute burn. Then the leaves started showing symptoms of nute deficiency. I know weird right? I guess the hot soil can throw of other things (ph, salts, etc.) thus, creating a nute lockout.
And then the other bigger plant started doing the same thing. The Chem OG apperently was albe to tollerate the hot soil a little better.
This is the Chem OG ↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓

Re: Zkittlez Auto Feminized --- Runt??
Yeah that was my first auto. The Chem OG was feminized so I just flipped to twelve and had them both under one light. That's EXACTLY why I only tried to grow four plants. Originally it was two zkittlez Auto and two Chem OG Fem but one of each dampened off.
I had several new variables that I needed to sort through. New soil, I never grew an auto, and I started them under a new cheapo LED light. I'm glad I did it to sort through some unknowns. I used seeds that I had multiple of.
