Anyone recommend a decent pollen/hash press?

Re: Hash press
I got this stainless steel milk tablet press off Amazon for a tenner, does the job pretty well for small amounts:

Re: Hash press
This one came with a trim tray for free. Works OK for small chunks. I think any of them should work fine.
I tried it out last night for the first time. Here are some chunks I think the smallest one was right around 1g the largest I could make was just at 2g.

If you reduce the amount of hash you consume in order to preserve your glass you've missed the whole point.
The hash is more important than the glass.

Re: Hash press
I like the stainless steel.
Comparing the 2 I say the stainless steel is the way to go. I think the one I have is aluminum body with stainless push rods. @sybarite 's looks smaller than mine. I'd say look for stainless with the longest thread area on the ends. That will be how you get the biggest pieces of hash.

Re: Hash press
@Trippster62, you're right, mine is only small at 23mm diameter and 37mm tall externally, and 15mm tall with 16mm diameter internally. I use a G-clamp to press it, but can be pressed by hand if warm. I was looking at these Dulytek ones that look good quality and there are a couple of UK suppliers:

These might be OK too:

Re: Hash press
I looked around after posting and looked at those same 2. For me I think I liked the second one better. I also saw one that had the T handle on both ends.sybarite wrote: ↑Fri Apr 08, 2022 11:50 am@Trippster62, you're right, mine is only small at 23mm diameter and 37mm tall externally, and 15mm tall with 16mm diameter internally. Re: Hash press
So I bought the small Black Leaf one from Amazon (save my soul) and it's pretty good. Not the best in terms of machining quality - it has some slight roughness inside the tube, some of the knurling isn't perfect and smells more metallic than my milk press, even after cleaning with hot iso and soapy water, but I like it and think it could do the job well. I can't imagine needing anything bigger than the small one for myself.
@Trippster62, not sure of the benefit of two T handles? Seems overkill to me.

Re: Hash press
I love the design of this Black Leaf one, but shame about the metallic smell - not something I want in my hash. Maybe lining it with parchment will help, but will probably end up returning it. I reckon the Dulytek one might smell less, being made from food-grade steel, like my milk tablet press.Trippster62 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 08, 2022 3:38 pmI looked around after posting and looked at those same 2.
