Are my guys okay?
Wondering if I can get some insight - I have two little guys growing for about 7 days; the stems are super long and it cannot hold up the weight of the little leaves. I have them propped up but they can’t hold their own. Is this normal?

This can happen and can be resolved when re potting up just support them anyway you can and also the distance from the light to plants maybe too far causing the plants to stretch as long as you can get them supported someway asap you should be ok
Hope this helps a little, atb

Hi :)
Yes I've had this before, this be used a toothpick and those little wire tie things you get in packaging that you twist before to hold them up, I've also just let them fall before. A GENTLE fan breeze seems to help strengthen them imo :)

Re: Are my guys okay?
As answered above, it's normal if your light is far away from the plants. They tend to grow wanky and tall. Just add support for them now, lower the distance between plants and light & when you pot them up just burry the stem right next up to the first node. Good luck

Re: Are my guys okay?
Welcome to GR420.
As mentioned you need your light a bit closer, a picture would be good to see exactly what your doing. Having a fan blowing near them as they grow at this stage will also strengthen the stems as they grow. Another tip is when you start your seed in a starter pot only fill the starter pot half to 2 quarters with your chosen medium. You can fill your pot as you grow over the first few days, this eliminates this issue.

Re: Are my guys okay?
Thanks for all of the advise everyone! I am growing indoors (open basement right now) - and yes I’m sure my light source was too far away. Right now they are being held up with some toothpicks - Im also getting a 24x24x36 grow tent with an LED adjustable wattage light within the next few days - should I let my two babies be and then re pot them when I get my new setup or would it be too late? (getting the new equipment on at 18th).
Again - thanks for all of the help!!
