End of budding 24-48hr darkness benefits
Is there any benefits to leaving your plant at end of budding in darkness for period of time?

I dont think there's decent evidence to suggest that but some swear by it.

I generally try to remove plants from the intense light for the last couple days. my thinking is that im trying to retain terps that are there and not burn them off

imho rather than do no lighting... go with docking the lights from 12/12 to 10 hrs on 14 off for the last week of flowering before harvest this way the dope really senses thats its autumn

Re: End of budding 24-48hr darkness benefits
I believe this is one if them growers myths. That doesn't mean it doesn't work, I've tried same clones on same feed in 2 tents a couple of times with dark periods at the end and not, no difference in my end result. The issue with these sorts of ideas is they can't really be proven in a hobbyist groom. What's to say there isn't something else effecting plants if a side by side is done and uts better or not.
I do subscribe to the theory that more volatile terpines will burn off in higher temps and this could be translated to longer exposure to high powered lights. I do turn my lights off a day or 2 before harvest though, but this us more about saving a few quid on leccy than anything else.
