thrips midway through flower :(
Hello folks and happy new year!
I have found a couple of posts already but can't find anything definitive!
Devastated to have learned I'm now experiencing my first bout of thrips. Got a clone delivered two weeks ago that appears to have brought them in. Sadly i'm just starting week 6 flower! Please don't tell me to bin the crop
I've purchased some Dr Zymes as it's seemingly totally safe during flower? Can i spray it ON the flowers as I'm reading they also like to hide out in the flowers? If not, any other suggestions?
I'm reading a lot on spinosad but not sure what product to get that contains it? again i want to be careful given i'm well into flower.
Thanks in advance!

Re: thrips midway through flower :(
Be interesting to see if the DR Zymes will actually will work on thrips. I would get some blue sticky traps to help control the adults just in case. I would not worry about spraying at 6 weeks in flower other's might but as your only spraying a blend of citric acids should be ok. With any sprays do a test branch first before drenching the whole plants and follow the label.

Let me re-phrase that some i would not worry about Foliar Spraying if water or feeding due to being concerned about mold. A pesticide containing oils or Pyrethrin i certainly would not be keen.

Week 6 flower, I;d leave them be and let them finish.
Then get apocalyptic on the buggers when the tent is empty.
You got any pics anyway? Not the bugs, the plants. So we can see how far along they are, take a few of the thrip damage too.
Ta.

You can use those pyrethrin smoke bombs but they only seem to knock em back for a few weeks. Spinosad is safe to spray but it can also encourage mold later in flower. You have to weigh up risk over reward.
Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.

Re: thrips midway through flower :(
It looks like only one or two plants are really affected, but i suspect they'll start spreading.
