I’m not trying to be a prick, but heading into hydro with the goal to change your res as little as possible is a recipe for disaster. It’s really the one and only thing you need to do once you’re up and running. If emptying a few buckets, mixing up some nutrients, and filling the buckets up once weekly is too much hydro might not be the best fit for you. There are guys who do things the lazy way, but expect to lose crops and never maximize your grow potential.

You only need to change rez for bacteria, i dont see how just topping off wouldnt work if this silver bullet stuff keeps bacteria at bay for as long as it says it does, has anyone tested in the way I'm proposing if possible to test water for bacteria or do people just switch out as a precaution not utilizing the 5 week disinfection it advertised, we don't know so I aim to test it if possible, I know what I'm trying to do just need to know if u can test for pathogens in a quantifiable way

Changing the rez won't be a problem but why give yourself more work?
