Re: DIY QB and cob light.
Well i already had 5 boards from my old set up and some drivers so I only really needed another 3 boards.
But if you were to do it you may aswel buy a couple of the ish320e units which would be pretty much the same. Or its about 30 or 35 bucks a board and then 70 bucks each for dimmable drivers, angle ally is cheap, few nuts and bolts, drill bit, wire and wagos etc maybe 450 ish to do it yourself from scratch

Re: DIY QB and cob light.
Tis a beauty @Dandy Dan much kudos for that build. I like the idea of single cobs myself that i can daisy chain together, more just cus they just seem to take up alot less space so could be used pretty much anywhere at anytime and they are about on par with QB i think these days yes ?

I have no idea @2-Scoops , you'd know more about it than I would mate. But I should imagine it's all pretty comparable these days, in all fairness I only went led to save a bit of leccy ditto the ec fans

Re: DIY QB and cob light.
Yes i thought same first attempt with led that it will save leccy but i still ended up with near on 600watt wall pulling on juice, tbh i needed it as well, i think led grows great buds but you still need wattage, people opinions will differ but i thought lesser wattage didnt compare to comparisons i see everywhere like a 300watter does same as a 600hps, i mean it might but i cant do it all be it im only 5 or 6 grows into using led, well when i use them but im all for more power be that led, hps or whatever light its bloody pockets that aren`t theirs nowt in the fuckers anymore, costof leccy.

Re: DIY QB and cob light.
I coulda put you in touch with a bloke builds decent 60 and 100 watter COB lighting, not that they`re any different or hardly, but he uses both citizen and cree builds. @Dex uses cob lighting made by guy im on about, maybe he could tell me more on iff they are dimmable or not and iff you are you able to daisy chain them together easily enough with those standard plugs used mostly in grow light game ?Treetrunk wrote: ↑Wed Dec 09, 2020 2:57 pmI've ordered a 2700k one to try.2-Scoops wrote:Yes it looks a fair price, tbh im well broke atmo and Crimbo just round corner, but come new year i may invest in a 1 or 2 cob lights.
