Cleaning? What do u have to clean, is there regular maintenance needed for anything like air stones, pump or clay pebbles?bigbadbillybob wrote: ↑Sun Nov 08, 2020 3:27 pm
ALso just use the cheap golf ball type airstones, there are diffuseers but they are expensive, you have to hard wire them to your tote, which makes cleaning thm a pain
Gee me dope, Joanna..

Re: air pump for hydro?
clean the golf ball as it will get black in time.
I just use fishtank line, think its 5 or 6mm.
Go for a decent sized ball.

The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear.

Re: air pump for hydro?
and yes, you need to clean hydroton, lines and airstones after every grow. you should soak your hydroton in 5.6 ph water before it goes near a net pot, for at least 48 hrs, using ph down along the way to keep the ph at 5.6ish.
otherwise your ph will rocket when you start the system up and the water covers the bottom of the net pot hydroton
ANd get the 2 inch golf ball airstones and black airline 4mm, as it wont give algae a chance to grow inside it, like the clear stuff does.
ok
