Small air or fabric pots would work i guess.
Seen they do the Air Pots in 1 litre but not found them in stock so I went with a 3 litre to replace the Pint Cans when I do my next Auto. I would guess the fabric pots might be available in smaller than a litre?

1 liter should be perfect if you're looking to have a bonsai bro go with the air pot if you can
Take a cut right before flower minty, would take forever to reveg if that's what you prefer but it can be done for sure

For bonsai mother plants I'd prefer the small square pots. I've had some very decent size mothers if needed in them 0.7L pots I think they are if not smaller. And easy to line next to each other as they are square.

Also when using square pots, you can cut an inch of soil or coco away from the ball on all sides, and an inch off the bottom and top up with fresh soil. That's my plan anyway

Grow weed easy have a good guide on how to do it. If you train the plant to grow in a cup shape, as you cut off an inch of the bottom, it gets buried an inch deeper every time. Eventually you will be able to cut right down the middle and have 2 mums going.

I havent tried it yet but I've been learning myself so I can make a ton of seeds. My plan is to keep a mum going so I can take clones, flower about 12 and make one a male so I get S1 feminised seeds. I dont expect I'll get it right first time hence the need for a mother plant.
