I'll try and have a listen later cheers.Treetrunk wrote: ↑Sat Jun 24, 2023 1:59 pmhttps://youtu.be/JPsMH61onMk
Bit of info on the UVB @Marcus
From what I can find, UVB LEDs are quite expensive I found some 280 and 300 nm strips with a dozen LEDs on them, pulling about 30W... £1500!!!!!
Yup, £1500.
I think this is why LED companies sell T5s alongside the led units as it's more cost effective for everyone.
Did you buy your UVB direct from Migro @Treetrunk ? WHat were the import costs like???

Re: UVB Supplemental Lights
UVB damages cells, but the thinking behind blasting plants with UVB is that they produce more of their natural defence...trichomes and stalks full of sticky goodness.
So I think there's a balancing act between too much UVB = killing the plants and just enough UVB = more of that trichome stuff that gets you high.
I'm just dipping into it, but it seems about 3 hours in the middle of lights on time and aboout 3 feet away is the current internet science.
My issue is, I don;t and won't have 3 feet headroom in this cubby, so I'm trying to work out if I use lower powered UVB bulbs I can get them close enough to do their job without costing me too much in the electrickery £££...
I'd be all over these units if I was in the USofAyyyyyyyyyyyy. Adjustable spectrum n stuff!

I think the light was about £85 with import duty.Marcus wrote: ↑Sat Jun 24, 2023 2:34 pmUVB is 280 -315nm

The Migro cover's 1.2m. Reflective walls don't deflect UVB.
I have mine on for 2 hours mid light cycle for the last 3 weeks. Light height is about 18 inch away.
The other problem with the LEDs isn't only cost it's the efficiency. You would need loads to match a tube.

Re: UVB Supplemental Lights
Yeh thats what I was thinking, the Invisible Sun LEDs will be expensive and you need multiple units (probably). If I can cover 1.2m squared with a 4ft tube for around £80 I don't think the LEDs are gonna compete with that price if I'm honest

Re: UVB Supplemental Lights
Never used the strip t-5 or t-8 typo uvb/a lights but ive used 3 x cfl lights stuck in cheap separate clip on light fittings. Not sure they did anything or not, i still have them in a draw somewhere and they may come out again at some point.
I ran them for last 3 weeks of bloom set about 1ft above canopy for around 8hours a day if memory serves me right.
Ebay do some great Arcadia t-5 kits for £50 to £80. I`m sure that ive read the t-5 are best overall and more economical and more intense than t-8. Pretty sure tis 280 -290nm perfect light spec for added potency .https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from ... t=0&_sop=1
Out of interest the hydro store that advertises on gr420 do a decent t-8 uvb supplements same make as TT`s Migro for £110. https://hydro-urban.co.uk/product/migro ... cent-tube/
LED uv light isnt worth a wank for added potency is totally wrong light spectrum, well it was last i looked.
