Thanks, I used to have some when I was growing in soil and gave it away to a friend running RDWC having issues, seemed to help, wish I'd kept it now. Was wondering if it's similar to BAM though.

Enzymes rather than microbes.

Enzymes rather than microbes.
” SLF-100 is a formulation of multiple species of bacteria, however there are four that really
stand out and make their presence known.
• Pseudomonas putida – Phosphor solubilizer – amazing bacteria, also an antagonist for
pythium and fusarium.
• Virgibacillus pantothenticus – production of ectoine and proline, causes plants to adapt to
environmental stressors – among many other things
• Bacillus thuringiensis – helps with some pests – also has anti-pathogenic properties.
• Bacillus subtillus – catalase-positive bacteria – meaning given the ability to grow
overnight in a simple sugar medium and added to H2O2 it will break the extra oxygen
atom off the end – the real enzyme test. “

The end is a hybrid with organics, the only thing in it that'll be affected by the silver bullet is the microbes within the end.
So is "The End" ferts just normal salt based feed with added microbes mate ? I know you`ve explained it somewhere but i just didn`t get it all tbh, im all for simple explanations put in laymans terms. Thanks mate.

I assumed the silver component would be more aggressive on the nasties and keep it stable in the tank longer, so less is needed over time.
My take on silver bullet would be the h202 in it will deplete in your mix just as quick as normal h202, so around 4 to 6 hours give or take leaving behind some sort of silver in your mix which in itself has antibacterial properties and its this that should or will give you the longevity to protect against nasties, but the h202 in it won`t last long at all.

This is what convinced me to get Silver Bullet instead of h202:

"Silver bullet stays active in tanks for up to 5 weeks - standard hydrogen peroxide levels drop dramatically after just a few days.

Top ups are few, doses are low. We did the maths, and you save 55% by choosing Silver Bullet over other hydrogen peroxide brands."

"Silver ions: break down protective (catylase) barriers & keeps the H2O2 stable

Effective: 100,000 x more effective than hydrogen peroxide"

This is some great wording and number from its makers that Sy. The last sentence made me chuckle, quite a bit. I mean it might be for all i know, but how the fuck to get to that number. :nice:

Taken with a pinch of salt I guess but there are scholarly articles proving the efficacy of silver hydrogen peroxide over standard h202 in killing bacteria and reducing biofilm.

Here's one: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4496041/

I wanted to be sure the bastards were dead. :ak:

I use h202 quite often in Summer on a daily basis, more for an oxygen booster to rootage. Pretty sure it gives plants an added bit of oomph too. 8-)

Will check the link tomorrow im bloody hungry man, laters.
