Are brown plant roots in a hydro grow, dead? Should I cut off the brown roots?

Ok so mind you I’m not hydro I grow in coco. So I did some looking and from what I’m reading brown roots or root rot is what it seems and most plants don’t normally recover from that. I’m not seeing where cutting the roots helps. Now I did see where some have tried and succeeded but you could probably grow another in the time it takes. I’m in no way a expert tho just my opinion and there is much better growers on here so we shall see what they have to say 😊

This could be a number of things. Brown is normally not good but that doesn't mean always. Do you have a picture?

Brown roots are not necessarily dead, could also be stained. Post a photo and someone will help. If they are rotten, they can be removed safely. If you have some enzymes in your ragime, they should help clean things up and encourage new roots. Trichoderma can also help here. Good luck.
