Has anybody unintentionally snapped the main stalk but kept her alive?

Post by Benjic93 »

I've got a few cutting questions few weeks old. I'm trying to train them low and slow and turn into a canna bonsai in a way. Intention of turning into mothers but slow and steady while I grow other stuff.

I successfully bent down a cut so I went onto my second and I must of been too excited because I snapped main branch. Not clean off but pretty dam close. Quickly wrapped some sellotape around her and propped her up. This was yesterday. Today she looks alive but had a mini stroke. Will she power through it? ImageImageImageImage

yep yep yep. like having a tooth knocked out.... pop it back in and hold it in tight and pretend nothing happened

another way to think of it is like a grafted plant, so as long as the xylem and phloem are lined up right, life juices will continue to flow 8-)

Phew, I thought she'd be a goner eventually, like slowly die. I've seen branches snap before but not the main one. My heart sank when it happened. Was anxious opening the tent just then but was happy too see it was alive but seeing limp leafs mad me think there's worse to come. Especially being a young clone.

Should get a nice knuckle on her then? Bit of belly?

Like @GMO says man, patch her up and pretend it never happened. Sometimes I have had it knuckle up but had some banging buds of the knuckle branch so don't stress it man

Yeh, I've sellotaped her up and tied her up so she doesn't collapse where she snapped. So hard not to 'over' love them after you've hurt them. 1st thing I do when I get home from work is rush to the tent to make sure she's still alive lol

"Has anybody unintentionally snapped 'the main stalk' but kept her alive?"

Now THAT'S a cracking euphemism!

Drugs and Alcohol are never the answer! Unless the question was “what am I doing tonight”.
