Let's talk pots. How big are yours?
What does everyone do in regards to pot sizes?
I start in the little starter pots (like a slightly bigger yoghurt carton) and then go to 2 litres, then 8 and then 17 litres. Thinking of skipping the 2 litres and going straight to 8 to prevent less plant stress.
Anyone do anything mega different or exciting?

Very good topic
I think your gonna see lots of different variations here
Personally I either start in 2l or 7.5l. Auto will stay in 7.5l but I've started potting photos up to 20l before flip. So I basically do the same as you bud but without the starter pots

Yeah I think what I do is pretty standard. Was wondering about people finishing pots. Something we (myself) overlook when writing in diaries when I've just looked over some.
17 litres seems good and fills the tent nicely for me.

There is also grow length. For ease of effort a larger veg pot will usually mean you won't have to feed for longer

Cool dude, I'll give that a whirl. Doing lots of training with my new run anyway as I have a long(ish) veg period and a Smallish veg tent.Hoffman wrote: ↑Sat Sep 01, 2018 2:07 pmif i was you id go from the 2 ltr straight into the 17 ltr budohlordyeah_420 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 01, 2018 1:20 pmWhat does everyone do in regards to pot sizes?

Just remembered I bought new smart pots in a sale and they're 25 litres. They're still in the box in the house.

Re: Let's talk pots. How big are yours?
i start mine in 3inch starter pots then go to finishing pots wich are now 20l spmart pots , maybe i should be using a mid size pot from reading that every ones seems to use them..
autos go right into the final pot from the start no potting up with them

We can get swept away by our thoughts,,or learn to step back and see them with clarity.
Easy to forget its a choice

Re: Let's talk pots. How big are yours?
Again it depends on what kind of medium are you using. Coco and Soil can bifferent. While soil growers do multiple pottings up, a coco grower can start his plants straight in the final pot. I personally use 10L Airpots for final pots and sometimes use 5 inch pots full of canna terra to let my cuttings/seedlings settle and gain some growth. That saves me from messing around with feeds when plants are really young and fragile. :) I personally think 10L airpots are big enough to grow 4 decent plants in 1.2x1.2 tent. My single plant scrogged in 1.2x0.6 tent is in a 15L airpot.
