Dehumidifier..

Post by CDX101 »

what dehumidifer is everyone using to keep there humidity in range?

i have one of those inkbird controllers with a humidifier and dehumidifier, only problem is my dehumidifier sucks.. trying to keep the humidity at 50 after a water is like trying to pluck teeth from a piranah

humididty takes like 3 days to come down to 60% , and yes i could techniquly add less water but i usually always feed until i have runoff as i find coco soil to be a bit rough to judge water consumption.

all i can seem to find is cheap energy efficient dehumidiifers that im sure have shares in watching paint dry.

Where are you pulling your air from through the tent/grow space and where are you venting air to?

I try to run the dehumidifier in the room that the tent is in and draw air from that room through the tent.

Yes you should water coco till runoff and then some more.

How big is the room etc? I don't have a particular brand I go for but match the size of the dehumidifier with the room.

My dehumidifier is rated 20L/24hrs and has continuous drain. Uses about 280-300w of energy. If my humidity is about 60% in the tent I let it run in the attic and it collects about 12L of water over 24 hrs and the humidity drops down to between 35-40%. It does icnrease the ambient temperature by 2 degrees though.

For a residential dehumidifier, I recommend the 25l Meaco arete. I have it myself. Good design. It's also got a HEPA filter for the purification of your room. and a 12v dc jack so you can add a pump for automatic emptying.

Looks like a gooden to me, it has the "Q" quiet mark 38-40 DB, loads of positive reviews & 259.99 thats a good price too. If I were UK Id have that model in my groom. Nice recommendation @stoner4200000
