Cross pollination?
Hypothetical question...
If an Auto Flower bud is fertilized by a Photo male, is the ruderalis in the Auto enough to produce Auto Flower seeds?

"Normal" is not a goal. It is a level to be surpassed on the way to "memorable".
(UNLESS of course, the goal is NORML)

Re: Cross pollination?
I think it would end up 25% auto, 50% with recessive auto trait, and 25% photo. So essentially 75% not auto and you would have no idea what was what. Wait for more to chime in as I'm not 100% sure.

Re: Cross pollination?
I also thought about the odds of going either way.
Looking for someone that has done it and knows the outcome.
NOT that I'm gonna do it, but it crossed my mind as to another way to get "Auto Flowers".

Re: Cross pollination?
Its a fare question and not a bad way to think. But it all honesty...I would never invest 3 months of time & resources in something that may or may not autoflower or being anything half decent. Getting consistency in store bought autos is hard enough at times....I would just keep entering comps here in the forum and get enough points to get some real seeds with a higher likelihood of success.

Re: Cross pollination?
From experience they seem to 'auto' if the seeds are then cross bred again.
I did just that and all the seeds tested were photoperiod, but when they got backcrossed they showed autoflowering tendencies.
@GMO should be able to tell you more.
PS, it was half decent dope too.

Re: Cross pollination?
That would make some sense as I think the 50% with recessive auto traits would be kinda autos, but they would need the push of a 12/12 cycle a day or two around 20 days and then act like true autos but not sure.
