Doctoring time.

Post by Redz Medz »

Evening all, got a load of pics for the gods among us, i think i know what a couple of the issues are like the brown patches being ph fluctuations and the yellowing looks like magnesium deficiency (these are both on the same plant the Maple sherbert). The others are the holes and weird growth im not sure on, hers the pics anyway Thanks for helping.

Oi redz

Two cents for ya here

I doubt its bugs or disease

Seems to me like signs of uptake stress

Have ya tried flushing it and refeeding with a double checked solution?

Whats ur medium and setup?

Looks like a really nice plant ✌️

In my opinion all that above is pH related. Same as Mafoo I don't think anything has been munching on your leaves. I've had similar issue when my pH pen was way off the scale buddy. What is the medium and what equipment are you using?

Thanks for answering @Bulls and @MafooFarms,
Ideal i didnt think it would be bugs but couldnt find out.
To be fair this has only started occurring since letting the ph fluctuare a little. Think it may have been you @bulls or keeno said to let go up and down a little cant remember now. Its all in my grow diary if you dont mind looking, save me writing it again lol.
Cheers

Sure looks to me like summink is having a chomp on those leaves one of those flying type pests.

As for mag def your always gonna get a pale looking leaf from new growth its just how it is they darken as they grow and get older, the larger leaves its hardly what i`d call magnesium deficiency and more like slight under ferting, upping ferts a wee bit should sort it out.

Hi @2-Scoops sorry forgot to reply, to be honest those pics i think are from where i broke leaf as nothing else since.
i know rlthat new growth is a lighter green, it was the paleness in between the veins but that seems to have sorted itself out.
I ended flushing them all as upping the nutes would have been disastrous as they were already due a flush.
Cheers bud.

Cool glad its all sorted now. Remember to up ferts 0.2-to 0.4ec first 3 to 4 weeks of bloom before dropping back to normal fert strength, reason being they are at their hungriest when stretching like mad and will need lots of calcium and magnesium to cope with that. Its generally at this time around 4 to 5 weeks in you`ll see things like calcium and magnesium deficiencies cus peeps are feeding borderline low fert strengths and don`t up it when plant is screaming for more. Summink to bear in in d mate for you. 8-)
