Hey bro,

I've been growing under LED's in coco for few moons now. Personally, I don't add any additional CalMag whatsoever anymore. But then my EC is always between 1.2-1.6 in flower, until the final weeks flush. I use to go crazy with the stuff, once I removed it I found it was unnecessary. I'd suggest just running with your normal nutrient schedule and watch your plants...you can always add more later if you feel like they need it.

The black ash thing...that's more likely from not curing and drying correctly. I have run plants on an EC of 2.0 right up until harvest...the ash was white my bro...and honestly the bud was solid, i didn't notice anything from not flushing. That said..I still flush with water for the last week to 10 days of flower if possible. It feels right and saves me some nutes.
Yeah i've seldom used it until i jumped onto LED's. think i mentioned in a previous forum that a couple of people said 'just double your calmag' - and i followed suit like a tw4t!

How do you dry mate? I slow dry (14 days) 60% humidity at about 75 C? Never had an issue with black ash before :bang head:

Thanks to you and everyone for the responses!
Hey bro,

I've done both wet and dry trim. These days I prefer the dry trim myself. When its time for harvest I pluck all the fan leaves, separate and hang the branches from 10-14 days in my old 0.6m 0.6m dry tent in the dark. I try to keep the humidity in the lung room around 50-60%. Sometimes it creeps up to 65-68%. I find the cooler temps the better, winter harvests seem better. Then I dry trim, I use a trim bin with a screen to collect the trichs for making pressed hash afterwards. These days I keep a decent amount of leaf on my buds to protect the flower, I feel that is preserves the flower better...but that's just my take. :Stoned:
