I literally saw people from all ages and walks of life come together to share the many different ways in which cannabis is used.
There was live music, fresh food, and everything else required for a jolly good time, I was amazed at the vast turnout on such a miserable day weather wise.
I was there no more than 10 mins and I had purchased a quantity of amazing weed a large number of edibles and had already met lots of new faces all willing to just turn to you and pass you a joint as if it was completely normal, further to my amazement the local constabulary were made aware of the event and from what I observed twice there was two constables walking around policing the event yet no intentions of making any arrests they even posed for the odd photo, I kid you not !! And I firmly believe if I went there the very next day same time same place and was caught smoking a joint there's no doubt in my mind I would have been at the very least cautioned for a public order offence, but this itself spoke volumes about the power in numbers because to have arrested one they would have had to arrest each and every one of us but all they did was send 2 pcos just to let us know I suppose that they knew we there, I can live with that.
Now these festivals are held up and down the country all year round and I personally would love to experience as many of them as possible, so if you are involved in any event organising or you know of any festivals taking place here in the UK please do share right here and lets keep the Marijuana Protest steam train very much in motion again as i said the power in numbers speak for themself
Here's a write up courtesy of iSmoke magazine who attended the event:
