@Captain Beefheart for most it's not required and he explains why in the videos. Although what I will say is no growroom is the same and sometimes CalMag is required. As a hobby grower most don't need to concern themselves with the detail of they do so wish because most have to learn how to use one area and well. But as you scale up and have more than one area understanding why you might need CalMag and when to use it is a skill you may require.

Was their even weed specific ferts around back then or just tomato grow ferts used ? First weed ferts i came across like 20 years back in UK when i started growing were Vitalink and Growth Technology, i can`t remember nowt else on shelves. The only place i could get them was down a market stall some students had set up at weekends to earn extra cash. It`s a vey big concern now (Growell Hydroponics) the boys done good and time well spent at University

I did attempt to grow one on tomato ferts, superthrive and piss in-between Dads tom plants in the greenhouse way back in early 80`s when i was still at school in my teens it was a beauty a real monster but not at flowering stage. When Dad realized or was told what it was it got ripped and i got leathered for being a silly coont.

@Captain Beefheart ah the days of the tomorite feeds are now but a distant memory in one's frail mind eh. Can you remember Vlad trying to use it and burning the FUCK out of his plant. I think he got the hang of it in the end though. Pretty sure he grows in Coco now too though. Mon the Coco eh butty
