Team Events - How It Works

Wassup GR420,

The team events kick off today (April 1st, 12:00 GMT). The idea is to earn points based on normal use of the forum. There will be some extra ways to earn points. Each of the admin has come up with some comps/ideas, some will be silly fun comps, some will be based on what you already do about the place. There will be at least 3 comps a week based on the teams, each will award both GR420 points and Team Points.

Some of the ways to earn won't suit all of you, posting comps, quick fire comps. This is why we have tried to mix the teams up as much as possible with people who do different things around the place. You do not need t enter any of the extra comps if you do not wish to. This is just a way to try make normal use of the forum more fun, add some banter, and give people something to do.

Ways to earn team points:

There will be at least 12 competitions a month for the teams, each earning 50 points for the team that wins. These will go up at random times to keep it interesting and fair for all time zones.

The team with the most combined posts on the forum will get 50 points per week.

The team with the most combined GR Points will get 50 Team Points points each week.

If a person wins Plant, Bud, or Grow Of The Month they will earn 50 points for their team.

If a person wins the Sunday poker game, they will get 50 points for their team.

We are open to any other suggestions or ideas to add as ways to win points.

This will be done on a monthly basis. At the end of each month, there will be a transfer window where teams can swap/steal members.

This will likely evolve as it progresses.

The team that wins will all get a prize each month. Im just waiting for a bundle to arrive before posting what will be in these prizes.

Sorted. The newly registered usergroup permissions were not set to no access for the team pages. They are now.
