Manchester United will hold a memorial event at Old Trafford tomorrow (Thursday) to mark the 62nd anniversary of the Munich Air Disaster.
Former players, staff and supporters will gather beneath the Munich plaque at the south-east corner of the Old Trafford forecourt to pay their respects to the 23 people who lost their lives in the tragedy on 6 February 1958, while Bryan Robson and Casey Stoney are to lay wreaths on behalf of the club.
The service begins at 14:45 GMT, with a reading from club chaplain Reverend John Boyers, and will consist of several prayers, poems and songs, including a rendition of ‘The Flowers of Manchester’.
