I'm sure I read they are just hemp plants tha are there. Apparently they are poisonous to pregnant horses. Thinks thats about as scarey as that plant is lol

i believe if your with the RHS you can tour the poison garden

I have been a few times. They do have a couple of hemp plants but i have never seen a flowering female. Fascinating place though.
