Man 'killed girlfriend after eating cannabis cake'

A man was recorded on a mobile phone as he stabbed, strangled, and ran over his girlfriend during a psychotic episode after eating a cannabis brownie, a court has heard.

Lauren Bloomer, 25, was stabbed more than 30 times and died at the couple's home in Tamworth, in November 2020.

Jake Notman denies murder, saying he did not form the necessary intent due to his mental state.

Years before it was legal here, I used to use this argument for legalization.....
There is the guy that goes to the bar and has a couple drinks and wants to start a fight.
Then there is the one that smokes a joint and only wants Cheetos and watch music videos.
Which would you want living next door??
Been smoking weed since the 70's and it NEVER made me,or anyone else I know, want to kill somebody.
(Although it may have stopped me from doing so with an ex or 2)

Unfortunately though, it has been shown to exacerbate certain conditions. THC makes my anxiety worse for example. CBD sorts it out he's clearly got underlying issues IF was a brownie that made him do that... But yeah you're still right. I'd rather live in a world full of stoners than piss heads
