Love hash, and all things quality hash...

A couple bits and bobs i made recently..

here is some dry sift, my first grade as only 10 secs or so on the 180u screen, collected on a 53u screen and cleaned with balloon static tech...



Made from good mixed trim and some larf and the odd small nug.

It bubbles nicely but leaves a small residue in a vape / bong... I prefer to hand press then smoke in a spliff.


And here is some hash rosin (cured to a jam texture) made from pressing fresh frozen ice water hash in 2x 37u bags at around 180-190f



I use the rosin sparingly (i like to keep my tolerance level set at good flowers).. it's very powerful stuff !

I thought I was the only one using a balloon.
@chillbert42 I need to compare how you use the balloon to how I use one. Is this similar to what you do?
I blow up my balloon but don't tie it. Rub on my flannel shirt then pass it over the raw sift. It's cool to see and hear all of those little green bits hitting the balloon. Then I let the air out of the balloon and all of the plant material just drops off. Blow it up and do it again until there's not so much hitting the balloon.

after sifting, use a card to gather up trichs whilst holding a statically charged balloon (rub balloon on your hair / jumper etc like u did as a little kid) about 2" above the screen where u are carding the trichs (prob not like u used to do as a little kid lol)..

the lighter 'contaminants' such as dust / broken stalks / any escapee plant matter etc will be pulled onto the balloon by the staic charge leaving you with the heavier, larger, trichs on the screen.

Clean off your balloon using a small paint brush.. repeat a few times until your happy with your quality (use scope to check)

Breeder Steve (legendry breeder who f-in loves his hash) uses this technique..

If u wanna take it one step further, wrap your cleaned trichs in a 25u hanky (the type u get in bubblebag sets) then use 'hoover tech!'

yes, i said hoover tech...

this is where u take your heart in your mouth and a good grip on your 25u doubled folded hanky containing your prize trichs and use nossel end of your hoover to suck through any remaining contaminants.. dont let go of your package !

I think this gives 'dry sifters' the near equivocal ability of an 'ice water hashishin' where they would use a hose to wash through trich collections in the bottom of collection bags, washing through any dust etc.. The hoover's suction provides a force which like the hosed water wont damage those prized bejewelled trichromes you took months to carefully grow..then gather... then clean...

Personally i get quite scared of hoover tech, I like to mostly use balloon static and card tech... as it takes so long to collect and make such prized material, one slip and i'd be crying if the unthinkable happened!! Months to grow and seconds to loose !!

unlike Breeder Steve, I dont have a million hectares in Colombia to grow my herb in and have tonnes flowers to make endless amounts of full melt with ...

i'll keep dreaming though

pretty much exactly same except i dont tie my balloon and use brush to clean it off each time... will try your way next time! :) thanks bro
