Soil Test Report Target Values - DeBacco University

Soil Test Report Target Values

Professor DeBacco

Goal is Optimum
Some growers think excessive is the target, but this is false!
Optimum is best.
Having excessive amounts of certain nutrients can impact the availability of others and result in reduced growth.
Balanced nutrients allow for the optimum plant growth.

Common Misconception…
If there are more nutrients than the plant needs it can just take what it needs. FALSE
Plants are not at a buffet nutrient concentrations impact many chemical reactions so over adding will off set this balance.
Also too much nutrients can cause potential environmental contamination
Not to mention wasted time and money.
“If you can't explain it to a six year old, you don't understand it yourself.” -Albert Einstein
